Cancellation and No-Show Policy of Moriel Mental Health Center

At Moriel Mental Health Center, we value the commitment of our clients and therapists to the healing journey. To ensure that every individual receives timely care and respect for their dedicated time, we have established the following cancellation and no-show policy:

  1. 24-Hour Notice Requirement: Clients are required to notify us at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule their appointment. This can be done via email or phone. If a cancellation or rescheduling is done with less than 24 hours' notice, either the client or insurance policy will be charged the full cost of the session.

  2. Missed Appointments: We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, consistent attendance is crucial for therapeutic progress. If a client fails to show up for their appointment without any prior notice:

    • For the first missed appointment, the client will be reminded of our policy and either personally charged the full cost of the session or billed to insurance.

    • After a second missed appointment without any notice, the client will be charged the full cost of the session and may, unfortunately, be discharged as a client of Moriel Mental Health Center.

  3. Discharge Policy: We believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship. If a client misses more than two appointments without giving any notice, it indicates a possible mismatch in commitment. In such cases, for the best interest of the client and to ensure the center can serve others in need, the client may be discharged from our services.

  4. Emergency Exceptions: We recognize that emergencies can occur. In the event of a genuine emergency, exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Clients are encouraged to communicate any such situations as soon as possible.

  5. Payment for Missed Sessions: Any fees incurred due to late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged to the client's account and must be settled before the next session.

  6. Rescheduling: We are committed to your mental well-being. If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your request and find another suitable time slot.

We kindly ask all our clients to be mindful of the time allocated for their healing and the time of our dedicated therapists. This policy ensures that we can serve all our clients effectively and maintain the integrity of the therapeutic relationship.
